What are you listening to?

Hey Y’all!

I wanted to blogged, because I can. And I thought why not do a post on what music I have been listening…because I can. 🙂

And mainly Christmas music. The rule in our house is no Christmas music until October, but for some reason this year we really didn’t start listening to Christmas music until recently. And I am really the only one who has been doing that. 😛

Currently as I am typing ‘Winter Wonderland’ is ending. I’m not sure what is up next on my playlist. 😛

As you can guess I am listening to Christmas music right now. Literally all of the Christmas music that I listen too is sung by singers who are dead. I love listening to Bing Crosby. He has a very nice voice that I like listening. I also have been listening to Dean Martin.

My favorite (non hymn, non christian) Christmas song is ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’ which is sung by Judy Garland. No one in my family seems to appreciate this song or the singer as much as I do. 🙂

*Video didn’t show up, but here is the link to it on Youtube. It is just a video of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, sung by Judy Garland – Click Here!

^Hopefully that plays, sometimes videos don’t work. (It is probably a user error) 😉 ^

My favorite Christmas hymn is ‘It Came Upon a Midnight Clear’. So yeah, my favorite songs are those that aren’t sung a lot, much less played on the radio. *rolls eyes*

When I asked my siblings what their favorite songs were that didn’t seem to know. Beck was the only one who could answer me. ‘Winter Wonderland’ and ‘Silent Night’ are her two favorites.

Other than listening to Christmas Music, I have actually listen to a lot by Ella Fitzgerald.

I have, so far, really enjoyed listening to Ella Fitzgerald. I wasn’t sure how I would like her music, as it is jazz. But I was desperate for some music I could sing along with and she is who I found. 😛 The problem comes with not really being able to sing along because Ella Fitzgerald has a very deep voice and I am a soprano. :-\ See the problem?

Enjoy this picture of David, just because! :) He is going to be two months old on the 24th!!

Other than those two things, I really haven’t listened to much other than a playlist I created for NaNo.

That playlist consists of John Williams, Howard Shore, James Horner, James Newton Howard, Rob Lane, Patrick Doyle, and Harry Gregson-Williams.

I think John Williams did the Star Wars movies, but I don’t know what of his I have actually watched.

Howard Shore did the Lord of the Rings. The fact that some of his music would be on my playlist is a kind of ‘duh’ thing. He did an amazing job composing the music for the Lord of the Rings.

Harry Gregson-Williams, did Narnia. <3

Patrick Doyle, did some Austen movies. I think he did more than one but I know he did the older Emma. (not the 2009 one which is really good and you need to watch it) He also did the music for the new Cinderella.

Rob Lane did music for a BBC TV show called Merlin. It is a Arthur retailing with Merlin as the Main Character, and young, not old.

James Newton Howard wrote the music for Maleficent. (Which is not a dark movie, unlike some people have thought. It was a surprisingly good movie!)

James Horner, wrote the music for a movie called Braveheart. That I enjoyed watched but was R rated, and had more scenes that we thought to skip. 😛 Still, I enjoyed it.

Well, that is all guys! What have you guys been listening to recently? What is your favorite Christmas song?

    David is adorable!
Favorite Christmas song? Hard question. Among my favorites would be: “Hark the Herald Angels Sing” “Do You Hear What I Hear” and “There’s No Place Like Home For the Holidays” (if that’s the title 🙂 )

Oh, Hark the Herald Angels Sing is a beautiful one. It used to be my favorite and I would sing it all the time. I totally forgot all about Do You Hear What I Hear. 😛 I can’t think if I have listened much to There’s No Place Like Home For the Holidays. I feel like I have…

Yes, David is a cutie! 🙂 I need more pictures of him.
