Why I write….

Why I write, what got me interested in writing and when I start writing.

I must say that the only easy question out of these three is when I started writing. And really there are sort of two answers to that. It really depends on whether or not you what to know when the first time I ever picked up a pencil and tried to write or when I first started to seriously write.

The first time I ever tried to write was probably when I was seven. That is just a guess. I was trying to write a sort of diary kind of book about a girl names Beth. She had a bunch of siblings, I don’t remember how many but I think it was probably around six. It was a terrible story, which I threw away a couple of years ago. Right now I wish I hadn’t so that I could share with you what it was like. Honestly it was stupid, I remember the day I threw it away Beck and I were laughing so hard over what I had written in the story. 😀

There was one part where is when something like this:

The Man said, “Your Ma is dead.”

“OK.” I said.

I am not joking that was something I had written. The only thing that hasn’t changed from what I had written then to what I am writing now is that I still write in first person. 😉

As to writing seriously, that was something I never did until June or July of 2013. I can’t remember which month, but I know it wasn’t any earlier than June.

The first draft I ever completed was The Moonstone. I don’t have that draft any more either. I deleted it. I am still working on that book, except now that plot and some of the characters are different, and it has nothing to do with a moonstone. 😉

So I have been writing seriously for about 2 1/2 years

What got me interested in writing?

I honestly have no idea. I sort of had always wanted to be a writer or ‘author’ as I always said when I was younger. I don’t know why. It was just something I thought was ‘cool’ when I was younger and then as I got older that interest just kind of grew.

Why I write?

This is the hardest question of all. Which is why it is last. And the only reason why it is so hard is because I don’t have an answer for it. I write because it is something I enjoy. I enjoy creating worlds and people. It is fun and now a part of who I am. I can’t see myself ever not writing.

I hope I answered those questions well. I fill like I didn’t.

Just for fun I thought I would add some funny little pictures down here.

And of these two I couldn’t decided which I thought was more accurate, so I thought I would share them both. 🙂

Well, that is all for know!
