I have not written any of Cinderella in ages! But I am now. 🙂 I do no have a img for this chapter.
(mainly because I am too lazy to find one) but I will have a chapter, and hopefully a decent one at that. 😉
Oh, and you should know this chapter is being written on the spire of the moment, because I am awesome like that, and that is how I write. 😀
Helena lay in her bed that night, her forehead wrinkled thoughtfully. She kept thinking over and over about what Lavina said about Karl’s mom being in the hospital. Why? Why would his mom need to be in the hospital? What was wrong? How had she not know about this, what kind of friend was she?
Someone rapped lightly on the door. Helena thrust the covers off her and dragged herself to the door. It was Tillie. Helena grinned.
Tillie grinned back. “Hey, Helena. I was just checking to see that you didn’t need anything. I didn’t think you would be in a bed.” Tillie eyed Helena’s pajamas dubiously. Helena bit back a laugh.
“I am fine Tillie. Thank you for asking though.”
Tillie nodded and then abruptly left.
Morning dawned earlier than Helena would have liked. She barely made it to the bathroom without tripping on something and knocking herself out. But some how she manged to successfully make it to the bathroom where she then stood in front of the mirror blinking rapidly in the light. She held her hands over her eyes wishing that they would hurry up and get used to the light.
“Knock knock!” Emma called and little too cheerily for Helena’s liking as she waltzed into the room. “I thought for sure you would still be in bed.” Emma said laughing.
“I wish.” Helena growled.
Emma laughed again. “You know if you like I could just throw some water over you head.”
“No thanks.” I said, wiping the sleep from my eyes.
I walked out of the bathroom to see Emma sitting on my bed. She grinned up at me. “I heard that you had some trouble with Lionel last night.”
I rolled my eyes. “You could say that again.”
Emma laughed. “Lionel has always been the most annoying person I know.”
I moved over to where my suitcase sat, still unpacked. I dug around in it looking for something to wear. I snatched up a pair nice jeans and a long sweater. As I turned around to head back to the bathroom I remembered what Lavinia had said about Karl. I froze.
“Emma,” I said slowly. “Do you know anything about Karl’s mom? Lavinia said something about her being in the hospitals some time.”
Emma sobered almost instantly. “Oh.” She didn’t said anything for a moment. “Yes. Karl doesn’t really like talking about this or anything. But she has cancer and they don’t know how much longer she will have. She is in and out of the hospital constantly.”
I stared at Emma in shock. Karl’s mom have cancer and I hadn’t known!
Well, there you go guys! I might write more, except I have a really good book sitting beside me and the temptation to read is to strong, so that will have to do for now. But do share what you think about this chapter!
